Job description, powers and responsibilities

‍
- Implementation and expansion of a platform (Jakarta EE/Spring) connecting the world of industrial automation and energy with modern open technologies (e.g. REST/SOAP/Open API, OData, Comet/Websocket, gRPC, PKI, OAuth2/OpenId Connect, Kerberos/SPNEGO, Open Telemetry, etc.).

- Collaborating on the development and deployment of frontend applications (React + Typescript) on top of this platform for other departments.

- Development, maintenance and support of their deployment of integration modules in Java towards external energy services.

- Support and development of fullstack (Java/Javascript) applications for internal company projects (e.g. documentation portal).

- Analyzing and solving technical problems in Java.

- Contributing to the technical design and design of software solutions within the Research & Development team determining technology vision and future direction (e.g. containerization, AI platform modernization, cloud deployment, CI/CD, etc.).

Personal prerequisites and skills

- Minimum 4 years of Java development experience

- Experience/knowledge of development support tools such as Git, JIRA, CI/CD

- Experience with a Java EE/Jakarta EE standard or framework, e.g. CDI, JAX-RS, JAX-WS, JPA/Hibernate, Microprofile , or one of the platforms such as Spring, Quarkus, Dropwizard, Tomcat, Wildfly, etc. is an advantage.

- Knowledge of open API standards, authentication standards, frontend technologies, cloud deployment and containerization, Kubernetes platform is an advantage.

- Ability to work in a team

- Analytical thinking and willingness to learn new technologies and standards
