Product description
IPESOFT, in its 30th anniversary year, comes up with a new software product in the field of energy consumption management and purchasing within Local Distribution Centres (LDCs). Energy management and the acquisition of new resources are becoming increasingly important in today's environment. Energy and energy resources in whatever form are nowadays crucial not only for the successful development of a business, but also for its very existence. On the basis of several years of project development, IPESOFT therefore comes to the market with the innovative MODIMS® product for LDS, which are currently mainly corporate and consumer clusters (corporate customers, retail energy traders, industrial parks, residential zones, etc.).The role of the system is to ensure more efficient coverage of energy needs by forecasting own energy consumption and then efficiently purchasing the necessary energy on the markets or preparing the basis for planning the production of own resources.
The MODIMS® system is built on the D2000® home platform and consists of several modules providing functionality:
- Electricity consumption forecasting - based on a set of mathematical prediction models working with variables such as seasonality, consumption history and metrological data, it is able to process relevant and accurate consumption forecasts for a given LDS.
- Automatic retrieval of meteorological data - from the available meteorological databases it creates an interpreted data set that serves as data sources for various prediction models used by the MODIMS® system.
- Collecting market data focused on electricity - by harvesting available stock exchange data, it processes and interprets the collected data, which serves as a source for the implemented prediction models.
- Electricity Optimization and Balance Management - is a decision support system for the sale and purchase of electricity. It allows the user to evaluate electricity deficits and surpluses in real time and to continuously evaluate recommendations for buying or selling electricity in the energy commodity market.
- Business risk management - a set of functionalities integrated into the module providing administration and management of business risks (credit, market). It enables comprehensive management of the above risks in order to eliminate the impact on the price of purchased electricity.
- Archiving and recording of commercial information - covers complex management and recording of commercial contracts, evaluation of the efficiency of individual commercial contracts according to various attributes, recalculation of the value of commercial contracts based on current electricity market prices and archiving of historical data on commercial contracts.
