FEIT UNIZA and IPESOFT work together to innovate education
In 2022, IPESOFT officially became one of the authorities from practice, which directly enters into the preparation and harmonization of study programs.
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology UNIZA cooperates with the industrial environment not only in research but also in the educational field. FEIT is currently in the process of harmonizing study programs at all three levels of education: bachelor's, engineering and doctoral. For FEIT, the opinion of industrial partners is crucial for setting up quality education. For that reason, authorities from practice in the form of important companies, e.g. in the field of IT, have the opportunity to participate in the preparation of new study programs, comment on individual points and provide valuable feedback from practice.
IPESOFT and FEIT UNIZA have been cooperating for a long time and thus try to bring to the region high-quality graduates focused on, for example, electrical engineering, IT and energy. The positive results of cooperation can already be seen today in the attractiveness of faculty graduates on the labor market.
At the same time, the cooperation of the faculty with practice gives students the opportunity to directly familiarize themselves with the focus of important companies in the region and their corporate culture, or to carry out projects, practice or an internship directly in the company. Several FEIT graduates currently work at IPESOFT, who got employed in the company after a positive experience during their studies.
According to surveys, for many students, it is the connection of study with practice that is one of the most important factors in the selection of higher education institutions.
At the same time, cooperation is also very beneficial for authorities from practice. It brings them a more qualified workforce that can quickly establish itself and grow in its career.
We hope that the formalization of cooperation will make it possible to design valuable study programs and ideally prepare future FEIT graduates for practice.
